Dundas Valley Conservation Area 20120916

Headwaters trail, west of Martin Road.

A number of Enteloma abortivum, (Aborted Enteloma). The aborted form:

is actually a better to eat than unaborted form:
The aborted form is meaty and has pleasent almond scent. The mushroom is better dried; not bad in soup or goulash type of dish.

Some Budding Pholiota squarrosoides:
and some well over into mature/old stage:
Once again, a single Boletus edulis, but very healthy and bug free (although smallish):

Some Honey Mushroom buds(Armillaria mellea). This year they seem to be late.
Several Orange cup Bolete (Lecinum aurantiacum). Very tasty, but stalk is too tough and needs to be discarded.
