Escarpement Near Ancaster 20120905

After the big rain, there is no new growth on the ground, but there is quite a bit on the logs (don't need rain). The effect of the rain will be visible some 48 hours later.
Psathyrella delineata - beautiful sample; unfortunately not an edible.
 Probably Morganella subincarnata.

Omphalotus olearius (Jack O'Lantern) ?
??? I will try and identify

Several very young and young Laetiporus sulphureus (Chicken of the Woods). Very good edible, but tends to be wormy (small, white warms, especially near the rim and outer edges)

Pholiota suarrosa early stage buttons:

Linda with some young oysters:
Interesting red newt (Notophthalmus viridescens):

Some fungal growth I never saw before. Almost covering the trunk. Soft and wet:

The Aborted Entolomas (Entoloma abortivum) started in greater numbers. Very good to eat with almond smell and taste.
